The girls' tennis team lost their first WPIAL match of the season on Thursday in a hard-fought match against Baldwin. Starting at the singles position matches were Michelle Kotov, Tali Blitstein and Lara Garrett. Unfortunately, the doubles matches were very close when the heavy rains prevented their completion. The starting doubles teams were: Ayaka Jinno/Ila Waldrup and Oliwia Saykiewicz/Ivy Echols. The team will make-up matches that were postponed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to PPS extreme heat protocols.
Good luck to the team on Monday at home against Thomas Jefferson and away on Tuesday at Shady Side Academy.
Good luck on Wednesday to Michelle Kotov and Tali Blitstein. They will represent Allderdice at the WPIAL Section 3 Singles Tennis Tournament at Fox Chapel High School.
